The Iowa Hawkeyes creative team approached me to revive a fan-favorite stadium video from the early 2000s. Together, we developed a modern interpretation to play before “The Swarm,” Iowa’s tradition of players taking the field with arms locked. To build anticipation for that moment, I animated a sequence of hawks gradually gathering and following an equipment truck until they build into a full swarm at Kinnick Stadium.

Staying true to the original version, the video peaks with the destruction of the opposing team’s logo. I developed a one-layer flexible After Effects template that allows the creative team to easily swap the text and opponent logo for each game.
